Pilgrim's festival is here. This is the 2013 version which is the same as the 2012 version and so on and so forth. So I was thinking to myself how would I spruce up the holidays to get more excitement?
Three words for you. Giant Turkey Boss!!!!!
Yes, This holiday needs a week long holiday turkey boss. You can have all of the different 'characters' from a classic dinner represented.
1. Mother who runs around and stuns everyone by telling them 'I slave over and over and you don't appreciate me'
2. Father who sits there and every 30 seconds emits an noxious gas that drives the raid away into the corners.
3. Random family members appear to steal your supplies and cause chaos
4. All of your food items turn to burnt turkey and stuffing
In other words unless you are a new player (and congratualtions for joining us) this holiday has unfortunately become an alt fest. Players looking to get achievements and use the different items for enjoyment. Yes I said it, you can actually enjoy this game.
Now I will say a foodfight in the middle of Orgrimmar would be enjoyable for guilds and even the random groups. Every so often just to spice things up I will throw a football to a tank just before he pulls. All in the thanksgiving spirit of course.
In the next week keep paying attention to trade chat for sales of the raw turkeys and other items that players might want. They are not available on the AH but can be passed between players directly. One thing to also remember that the raw turkeys can be dropped into your guild bank for others to grab. They disappear at the end of the festival.
Also don't forget that this holiday is an excellent time to level your alts cooking on the cheap. You can get them all the way up to 430 by just finishing the 4 basic cooking patterns that can be purchased from the Pilgrim's fest vendor. Cooking during the next expansion will become very important for buff food as well as your new house. Having a jump start on leveling will be a very long term reward.
Just remember to be thankful during the other 364 days of the year. And enjoy the week
Good Luck and Good Hunting
